WHAT MAKES WORKING WITH YOU DIFFERENT?

I am NOT the type of therapist to sit back, nod, and respond "So how does that make you feel?" I use an individualized and eclectic approach to best fit YOUR NEEDS. Most of my clients describe sessions with me as focused, honest, and strengths-based, with elements of humor and curiosity.  

 

WHY SHOULD I DO AN INITIAL CONSULT OVER THE PHONE?

Everyone has different needs and different reasons for seeking therapy. For this reason, I offer a FREE initial 15 minute consult over the phone to get a feel as to what you are looking for in a therapist and determine if we would work well together. In the event I cannot provide you with comprehensive mental health treatment or therapy and/or you or I feel that we may not be the best match, I will provide you with at least three more fitting referrals in the area. 

WHAT I SHOULD EXPECT FOR MY FIRST SESSION?

Our first session will focus on getting to know each other and determining your wants and needs for therapy. We will focus on gathering information, setting goals, and exploring your reasons for seeking therapeutic services. I will also review limits of confidentiality and answer any specific questions you may have. 

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

I charge $125 - $150 for each 50 minute session. I charge $200 per session for couples and/or family therapy. At this time, I do not work with any insurance networks (although I hope to do so in the near future). I do offer sliding scale rates, on a case by case basis; please do not let the cost of therapy discourage you from contacting me!

HOW LONG SHOULD I EXPECT TO BE IN THERAPY?

Only you can answer this question!  Some people seek therapy for a specific life challenge and will work with me for a short period of time (a few weeks or months) until they have reached their specific goal. Some people feel they do best with ongoing therapeutic services. Whether you are looking for a short-term therapist or someone long term - it's really up to you!
